PROFESSIONAL
Mr. Lodholz grew up in Houston and attended Trinity University in San Antonio, where he was a four-year letterman as a Pitcher and spent a year on Trinity’s Student Managed Fund. He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, with a Finance concentration and minored in English. After graduation, he obtained his J.D. from South Texas College of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Corporate Counsel Review and graduated Cum Laude in 2009.
Mr. Lodholz worked for over 14 years at Matthews Lawson McCutheon & Joseph PLLC (later known as McCutcheon Joseph PLLC) where his practice focused on commercial litigation and corporate matters. He has leveraged his business background, and detail-oriented mindset, to handle a wide range of business disputes, from contractual claims to complicated disputes involving business torts and intellectual property claims.
Mr. Lodholz understands that every situation is unique and works with each client to understand the specific goals of each dispute, as well as how they fit into the overall direction and structure of each business. He also works to analyze and help counsel all clients on the risks and potential rewards of pursuing, or continuing to defend, claims.
Mr. Lodholz was designated as a Rising Star by Texas Super Lawyers from 2020-2022. He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, in All United States District Courts in Texas, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Lodholz lives in Houston and is a proud member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he has volunteered since 2015, and was Chairman of the Horticulture Committee from 2020-2023. He also volunteers for the International Committee and is active in the Houston Symphony Young Associates Council.
