Hughes Watters Askanase Expands by Adding Three New Associates
HOUSTON, Texas (November 15, 2013) – Kimberly Englebert, Aaron Espinoza and Lauren Marshall Virene recently joined Hughes Watters Askanase, LLP (HWA) as associates.
Aaron Espinoza supports clients of the firm’s Default Services Practice Area. Lauren Virene works in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Area with much of her work focused on representing lenders. Kimberly Englebert, supports the Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Practice Area. Aaron, Lauren and Kim were admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2013.
About Kimberly Englebert
Kimberly received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Finance and Business Marketing from Texas A&M University in 2010. She received a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, summa cum laude, in 2013. One year prior to joining the firm as an associate, she served a two-semester clerkship with the firm while attending law school. She is a member of Aggie Law Society, the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association and Houston Young Lawyers Association.
About Aaron Espinoza
Prior to joining HWA, Aaron served as a law clerk for the Office of David G. Peake, Chapter 13 Standing Trustee. While studying for the Texas Bar Exam, Aaron served a unique six-month position as a law clerk/paralegal/legal assistant with the firm. He now supports the firm’s Default Servicing Practice Area and represents the firm’s mortgage lending and credit union clients.
Espinoza earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, cum laude. Aaron is licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, Hispanic National Bar Association and Houston Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers.
About Lauren Marshall Virene
Lauren joined Hughes Watters Askanase, LLP as a law clerk in May 2012. While in law school at the University of Houston Law Center, Lauren served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Harold R. DeMoss, Jr. in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; as a Senior Articles Editor on the Houston Journal of Health Law & Policy; and as a legal intern to Professor David R. Dow at the Texas Innocence Network.
In August 2010, Virene earned a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University. She earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center in May of 2013. While at Texas A&M, she received the Gerry McMullen Texas A&M Opportunity Scholarship and was a member of the Alpha Zeta Honors Fraternity. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Aggie Bar Association. Lauren is licensed to practice law in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas.
